I think I should have gone, I had originally planned on going and I had my flight and hotel room and then decided (incorrectly) not to go. Looks like NASOC had a great turnout and I probably should have gone. Would have been much more fun than digging post holes and building a fence in my Mom's yard. For now here are some pics to make the ones who did not go, feel sorry for themselves.
And I need to say Thank You to a total stranger who took these pictures for me, Mark Youden aka SilentUnicorn on British Car Forum, he is a stranger no longer.
The group of wonderful automobiles knows as Singer's |
Very nice original looking motor compartment, I like the tax disc just to give it some history |
||
Baby Blue, Phillip's car. |
Baby Blue sure has been improved since I first saw it, all cleaned up and ready to go. |
||
What can I say, nice "derriere" |
The Ward's rather nice Nine (wow!) |
||
I even like the color |
What ? only one Picture of Peter's Sports, how shameful but you can read about it elsewhere on this site. |
||
A new one on me, I don't know whose car this is. |
The FrankenSinger growing up nicely from last years show, lots of progress, might even grow up to be a finished Singer by next Stowe. |
||
More the unknown 4AD I guess I need to get to the East Coast more often. |
They are not pretty with the top up, are they ? but its all Singer and love is blind so I love it. Yet another 4AD that I don't know |
||
I like the back end treatment of the body work better on these than the 4AD's, that little metal bracket to hold up the license plate on the 4AD just looks "cheap" to me. |

A proper twin-carb engine compartment |
